A huge let down
Movie Review: The Mummy (minor spoiler)] 1. Muted Tom Cruise's screaming in the final cut 2. A highly underwhelming transformation of Dr. Jeckyll 3. A horrible cast for a villain I really enjoyed the first 2 mummy films. The lead pair was energetic and the villain menacing. I found the film adventurous and 'shocking'/'amazing'. The legend of 'curse' and 'the mummy' sent shivers down the spine of 10 year old me then. But this one, is a big let down. The villain is horribly cast, and poorly written.
The film is neither scary nor a action fest. It tries to set up the dark universe but fails to lay a memorable foundation. Meh!
