It is quite rare that a romcom tells such a soothing story about lives scattered across different continents,lives of people of different ages,and tastes. The Holiday is a wonderfully original in its presentation and all the top names who have been roped in,do justice to their roles. To escape from the mundane and the disappointment of their respective lives, Amanda(Diaz) and Iris(Winslet) venture out to holiday in an unknown place in an offer of house-exchange. The simple,suburban English life of Iris is swapped with the posh,uptown life of Amanda who lives in San Fransisco.
