First look #PremRatanDhanPayo #PRDP Trailer has visual appeal with characteristic festive mood of Barjatyas. This one has Rajputana charm and Royal razzmatazz making film even more grandeur. Story looks pretty stale, where Salman's Prem avatar plays larger than life avatar with zillion values. Heroine is shedding copious tears w.r.t of 1 litre per min. Nein Nitin is the bad ass and Salman's double role will bring redemption to their esteemed Khandan. Can someone smell "Deewana" in it? One can however watch it just for the cinematography. Not a film for torrent-ers as it'll be awful on a small screen with CAM print.

The BEST thing about the money I spent on my ticket is that the theater showed both the Dilwale and Tamasha trailers WITH SUBTITLES! I was in heaven from the first moments!
But the movie was pretty darn good, too. I actually loved that I didn't know what was going on from the trailer until I saw it so I won't spoiler it at all. I compare it to Dave, a Kevin Kline movie from years ago, and that's all I'll say about the plot.
I'd give it three and a half to four stars out of five. Salman is in full on sweetness mode -- and that's how I like him. But not as dumb and stubborn as a rock like in Bajrangi Bhaijaan. There are SO many visual allusions to Mughal-e-Azam. Not necessarily plot... |
