This really was a great horror flick. I expected more from the actors (A.J. Cook in particular), but Ali Larter was her usual good self and Tony 'Candyman' Todd performed his 2 minute role well. David Ellis did a spectacular job directing the movie, and gave it some truly memorable moments (e.g. the opening scene with Kimberly's premonition - how classic was that?!) The highlight was definitely the SFX. The deaths were realistic, so giving the movie a more realistic style - I remember such movies as 'A Nightmare on Elm Street 2', where the entire film was wasted on cheesy SFX. OK, so I guess that underlines the movie's fine points, but what about those little mistakes? Firstly,... |
